SPANDAN – Igniting Young Minds at Nav Adarsh Vidya Niketan Higher Secondary School Indore
Indore, November 11, 2025: AIC RRCAT π-Hub Foundation, hosted at the Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology (RRCAT), Indore, organized a one-day outreach program under its flagship initiative “SPANDAN – Igniting Young Minds” at Nav Adarsh Vidya Niketan Higher Secondary School, located at 1213, Phoenix Town, Kelod Hala, Indore (M.P). The program revolved around the theme “Opportunities with the Department of Atomic Energy for Viksit Bharat @2047.”
The session was conducted by Dr. C. P. Paul, Head and Director of AIC RRCAT π-Hub Foundation, accompanied by Dr. Anurag S. D. Rai, Chief Executive Officer, and Mr. Bhupendra Bakawle, Technical Staff. The event witnessed the participation of around 200 students from senior classes, along with their teachers and school faculty members.

The workshop began with a warm welcome by the school management, including Mr. C. S. Yadav Director; Mrs. Anita Singh Principal; Mrs. Remya Gopi Vice Principal; Mrs. Dixa Mishra, Senior Coordinator, and Mrs. Vibha Dwivedi, Middle Section Coordinator.
In his address, Dr. C. P. Paul introduced students to the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) and its wide-ranging contributions to India’s growth through science and technology. He presented a video showcasing the DAE’s associated units and their impact on national development across sectors such as healthcare, energy, agriculture, and industry. Dr. Paul also elaborated on the concepts of Amrit Kaal and Viksit Bharat @2047, emphasizing how India’s youth can play a vital role in achieving the nation’s developmental goals through innovation and scientific curiosity.
He further explained the vision and activities of AIC RRCAT π-Hub Foundation, highlighting its role in fostering deeptech entrepreneurship and facilitating technology translation from DAE research to societal applications. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A round, during which students actively engaged with Dr. Paul, posing insightful questions about DAE’s research domains, scientific careers, and innovation pathways.
The SPANDAN initiative aims to inspire school students by showcasing how India’s scientific institutions contribute to national progress and by motivating young minds to pursue careers in research, technology, and entrepreneurship. The session at Nav Adarsh Vidya Niketan successfully achieved its goal of kindling curiosity and awareness about science-led nation building among the students.
